Open Space Committee

This committee is responsible for advising the board on development and management of our “common” areas and facilities. Commons areas those shared by residents of Centre Ridge. Management of common area includes maintenance, improvement and even periodic inspections of them to identify those needing repair. Although most common areas exist within the town home part of our community, all residents share and enjoy their benefits. A few of the major types of open space items are:
  • Asphalt and gravel paths running throughout our community.
  • Trees, bushes, shrubs and even the lawns.
  • Tot lots and their recreational equipment.
  • Basketball, tennis courts, and even the pool.
  • Neighborhood ponds.
  • Sidewalks and streets of the town home areas.
  • Overall safety and security of Centre Ridge community property.

The committee currently has four volunteer members, with Bill Weston serving as the chairperson. Quarterly meetings are scheduled, but can occur ad hoc as needs arise. The committee welcomes additional members. If you are interested in serving on it, contact Mary Lynn at the community office.

Our community contains a lot of common areas and with that, many needs for maintenance and repair. The annual budget provides for basic maintenance such as tree removal and planting. The committee reviews and prioritizes items, and makes recommendations to the boards. Also, residents are most often our best source of feedback and information about common areas. We welcome your input and suggestions. If you have a concern or suggestion you wish us to address, just click on the following, complete the Open Space form and turn it into the community office.
